Divine Institute of Media Science (DiMS)has been pioneering the field of media and communication education since its inception in 2013. DiMS audio studio is a state-of-the-art audio floor with acoustically conditioned recording room and editing platform. Our technically proficient and industry experienced faculty members in sound technologyfocus on principles of sound recording, dubbing and other related skills using the latest software like Nuendo, Pro Tools, Adobe Audition etc.
We offer professional audio solutions for sound recording and mixing with high end digital sound capturing devices.
To learn cinematography in a creative environment, DiMS provides a studio equipped with SLR and DSLR cameras, professional lenses and other kinds of necessary accessories for still shoot. Professional lights and light meters enhance the quality of shooting.
We have a fully air-conditioned, High Definition theatre, with a seating capacity of 64 seats, equipped with Dolby digital 9.1 surround sound. Nationally and Internationally acclaimed films are screened here and appreciations and discussions are held on a regular basis involving film critics and experts. In addition to the screening facility, our theatre gives students and guest film makers are opportunity to exhibit their work in a collaborative environment.
Our computer lab is well-equipped with the latest versions of Animation, desktop publishing, 3D rendering, website authoring, graphic designing, and digital video and audio software applications. The lab is available for students,any time,for their various computing needs.
DiMSlibrary is the nerve centre of our institution and helps every member of the college to gain knowledge, skills and personal development. The library houses around 2000 books which includethe most expensive collections of media books, subject books, journals, university archives, and general interest periodicals. The reading room in the library offers computers with high speed internet and a comfortable area for reading, serious works and studies.
